DescriptionInfant's dress of white cotton, with a wide, square neckline edged with buttonhole-stitched scallops. The bodice is gathered into the neckline binding, through which a drawstring is pulled. The short sleeves are decorated with a double row of scalloping. The waistline is defined by five encased drawstrings. The skirt is bordered with ten tucks, all but one of which are machine-stitched. The bottom edge of the skirt is scalloped. The original length of the center back opening is thirteen inches. The dress fastens with the drawstrings at the waist and neckline.
