DescriptionA woman in Renaissance costume rides sidesaddle on a dappled gray horse. She wears a long dress and a cap or headdress with a long veil. A hooded hawk or falcon perches on her gloved right hand. The horse has an elaborate harness and bridle decorated with rosettes. A boy wearing a doublet and hose and holding a hat trimmed with a feather runs beside the horse. He leads a large dog on a leash. Cattails are in the left foreground. A castle with round and square towers is in the left background.
