DescriptionInfant's long dress of sheer, white cotton. The dress has a whitework-embroidered yoke around the neckline, which is pointed in front and rounded over the shoulders to the back. The high, round neckline is edged with scalloped bobbin lace. The dress is gathered into the bottom of the yoke at front and back, and hangs straight to the bottom, which is flounced and edged with bobbin lace. The seam between the flounce and the skirt is faggoted. The sleeves are gathered at the shoulder; they are gathered across the top of the wrist at the opening, which is finished with a strip of faggoted insertion and bobbin lace. The center back opening is about 9 1/2-inches long and fastens with three small mother of pearl buttons.
