DescriptionWoman's nightgown of white cotton, with a yoke of pintucked self-fabric alternating with strips of crocheted lace. The lace is crocheted around a manufactured decorative tape. The neckline is high and round and has a 3 1/4 inch-wide turndown collar of the lace. The nightgown is gathered into the yoke at the front and back, and is open at the center front for about 25 inches. It closes with a lightweight cotton tie (28 inches long and six inches wide) at the neckline. The sleeves are full and gathered at the shoulder and into a narrow cuff at the wrist. The cuff is edged with a three-inch-wide flounce of the lace. The machine stitching is a chain-stitch.
