DescriptionView of Fitchville, a cotton manufacturing village established by Nehemiah H. Fitch and his brothers in 1832. A man and a child stand on the road in front of a bridge over the Yantic River leading into the village. The most prominent structures are three large mill buildings, one with a cupola. Smaller buildings are at the left and a wooded hill is in the background.
