DescriptionIndustrial buildings line a broad street, which, according to Barber's text leads from the Connecticut River to the East. The large building on the right is surrounded by a fence, labeled "pickets" its cupola is labeled "Steeple W[hite?." An area labeled "Black dye" is in front of a smaller building with a prominent smoke stack. Only one small tree is visible. The factories in Thompsonville began manufacturing carpeting in the late 1820s.
