DescriptionPatten consisting of a thick wooden sole with the heel raised on a squared ring of iron. The forepart of the patten is scooped out in the center, and the edges of the wood are inset with leather strips, nailed on with iron tacks. The upper consists of a squared leather toe cap, and two leather straps, punched to accomodate a ribbon to tie over the instep. The tie is a strip of brown cotton woven tape.
