DescriptionMen's knee-high boots, with a round toe and one-inch-high stacked heel. The boot tops are cut approximately 3 1/2 inches higher in front than in back, with rounded corners as the edge drops from the front to the back. The vamp of the boot is cut with a pointed extension covering the front of the ankle. The boot is seamed at the center back, with an insertion of a narrow strip of leather. There is decorative stitching in a pattern of two overlapped scalloped lines around the top of the boot, down the center front, and in a 3 1/2 x 1 1/8 inch area on each side of the boot, where the boot straps are attached on the inside. These bootstraps are of striped woven cotton tape. The boot is lined with thin leather. The sole is reinforced with small, square-headed iron nails in the areas of the ball of the foot and at the outside curve of the toes. The heel is reinforced with larger square-headed iron nails in a horseshoe shape around the back and sides.
