DescriptionBrown leather boot with broad rounded square toe, low stacked heel, and straight top. The side seams have an extra narrow strip of leather inserted like piping. The sole is straight, and is built up with an extra piece of leather in the forepart area, and the heel is constructed of probably two pieces of leather, but is very worn down. The front of the sole is pegged with wooden pegs; the heel is attached with small, steel, square-headed nails or pegs. Two looped straps are stitched to the sides of the boot from the inside. One strap has broken at the top, so the resulting two pieces were cut vertically to create another sort of loop through which to insert the finger when pulling on the boot.
