DescriptionButtoned boots, with black leather toe and heel fox, and black wool top. The boots have high, pointed toes and stacked heels in a Louis shape. The button fly laps to the outside of the foot and has a straight edge. The top of the boot is also straight. The boot closes with twelve dull black, shank buttons. The button fly is lined with black leather; the top edge is lined with black silk; the rest of the upper is lined with white twill-woven cotton. The sock lining is brown leather. The soles are shaped for the right and left foot, with a strong swing and long, narrow waist. The top piece of the heel is pegged with small metal (brass?) tacks.
