DescriptionWhite cotton petticoat with a broderie Anglaise (eyelet) en tablier front. The design of the embroidery at the center front suggests scrolling vines forming a heart. The eyelet embroidery continues around the bottom edge, forming deep scallops. Leaf designs are embroidered within the scallops. The petticoat is finely gathered into the 1 1/2-inch-wide waistband, which closes at the center back with a single button (now missing).
