DescriptionAlbum of amateur photographs of Brooklyn and surrounding area. Subjects include a dirt road crossing "the Flats" entering and leaving Brooklyn, the Unitarian Church, the Congregational Church, the Episcopal Church, old Trinity Church, the school house, the town house, the village common, the savings bank, the county jail, the Israel Putnam monument, the Civil War monument, Mortlake House, the Kingsley residence, and the houses of H.P. Robinson, Mrs. Edwin White, and Fred Miller. Other streets include Broadway and the Pomfret road (Rt. 169). Other sites depicted include the Wolf Den in Pomfret, Killingly Pond, and Bennett Falls. In one photograph, an ox team is shown breaking the road after a snowstorm.
