BiographyJane Elizabeth Carlson was born in 1918. She was the daughter of Lena Sigrid Stenholm Carlson (d. 1963), a Swedish immigrant, and John Bergen Carlson. She became a noted professional pianist and teacher in New York. She had one brother, Malcolm, who served in World War II and was killed shortly after the invasion of Normandy. Jane Elizabeth Carlson died in 1998.
