BiographyLouise Ellen Potter was born on February 17, 1877 in Winsted, the daughter of Eugene and Florence (Breckenridge) Potter. Eugene Potter worked in the silk business in Winsted. Louise graduated from Vassar College in 1898. On June 8, 1907, she married Alison Palmer, who also worked in the silk industry in Winsted. Their daughters were Florence Breckenridge (1908-2005) and Cornelia Alice (1913-1995). The Palmer family moved to Elgin, IL in 1926 or 1927, but they retained a summer home in Winsted, Connecticut.

Louise died on February 25, 1970.
