DescriptionSixth plate daguerreotype portrait of Tryphena Fitch and her sister Julia Fitch Bromley. They are both wearing dresses with full bodices gathered at the waist and long, narrow sleeves, and white ribbons or lace cravats around their necks. Both of their hairstyles are similar, with their hair parted in the middle and fashioned into low wings over the ears. Julia, on the right, sports a braided bun that is just visible in the image.
