DescriptionSixth-plate daguerreotype of Laura Wells Churchill by an unknown photographer. She is pictured in middle age. She is wearing a dress with vertical fan pleats down the front of the bodice. There are bands of fringe around the upper sleeves. A very narrow lace collar is fastened at the throat with a brooch. She is wearing a long necklace. Her hair is parted in the middle and fashioned into small wings that end midway down her ears. She is wearing a decorative comb or other hair accessory.
