DescriptionWoman's cream-colored wool flannel petticoat, which is slightly gathered across the front and closely gathered across the back. The waistband is a folded-over tan silk moiré ribbon, which ties at the center back. The center back seam, placket opening, and lower waistband edge are embellished with featherstitching in cream-colored silk floss. The lower edge of the petticoat is scalloped and embroidered with a floral vine. The blue marking of the embroidery pattern is evident under the stitching. A linen Torchon lace extends 11/4-inch beyond the scalloped hem.
