DescriptionInfant's camisole and petticoat of cream-colored wool flannel. The camisole (.a) is sleeveless and has a round neck. The center back opening fastens with three mother of pearl buttons. The neck and armhole edges are bound with cream-colored wool twill tape, stitched down with decorative feather stitching. All edges and seams are decorated with the feather stitching in cream-colored silk.
The petticoat (.b) is knife-pleated into the cotton waistband, which has eight buttonholes for fastening to mother of pearl buttons all around the bottom of the camisole. The center back opening extends 9 1/4 inches and is edged with the feather stitching. The petticoat fastens with a single button on the waistband. The center back seam is covered by feather stitching. The bottom of the petticoat is embroidered above the hem with rosebuds and leaves over scalloping.
