DescriptionSixth plate daguerreotype of Amos and Isabella Hamblin Adams, possibly taken upon the occasion of their wedding in 1848. They are both young, in their 20s. He is wearing a jacket, waistcoat with lapels, a white shirt with a low, stiff collar, and a bowtie (or cravat tied in a bow). His hair is worn slightly long, to about mid-ear length and slightly longer in the back. She is wearing a dress with pleats gathered into shirring at the waist. The sleeves do not appear overly full, although it's hard to gauge their fullness from the image. Her white collar is fastened at the throat. Her hair is parted in the middle, with long ringlets hanging down on over her ears.
