DescriptionIrving H. Norton's World War II United States Army uniform.
(a) United States Army Officer's Winter Service Uniform Jacket PQD Spec. 14B in olive drab shade 51 with 1942 specification cloth belt. The jacket is made of elastique wool. Single breasted coat with two pleated patch pockets with button down flaps on the chest and two lower hanging waist pockets with button down flaps. The jacket has an open knotched collar and is closed at the front with buttons, three of 2-piece gilded brass and one of plastic. There are epaulets on each shoulder with 2-piece gilded brass buttons. The coat is fully lined with Rayon.
(b) U.S. Army Enlisted Men's Garrison Cap, PQD Specification QMC 8-114B, olive drab in color, size 6 7/8", manufactured by the Mid-City Uniform Cap Company. The cap is piped.
