DescriptionSixth-plate tintype of Keziah Barnes Cook by an unknown photographer. Cook is probably in her 60s in the photograph, which was probably made in the 1860s based on her dress. It features full bishop sleeves, horizontal bands of trim (ribbon or velvet) on the sleeve caps, cuffs, and the peplum atop the skirt. There is a dark lace collar fastened at the throat with a brooch. Her hair is parted in the middle, pulled back, and trimmed with wide ribbons.
