DescriptionQuarter plate daguerreotype of Hannah Thompson Bronson (Mrs. Harris Bronson), probably made in or around 1860, when she was in her early 60s. She is wearing a dress that, because of the deterioration of the plate and its lack of contrast, is difficult to make out. In addition to the dress, she is wearing a lacy white collar and a white ribbon around her neck, fastened with a brooch. She is wearing a frilly daycap, under which part of her hair is visible. She is wearing eyeglasses.
