DescriptionArt Nouveau pressed colorless crystal inkwell and cap with sterling silver painted decoration on surface. Circle well (a), silver paint decorates its surface with curved lines, silver also outlines upper rim and bottom border. Engraved in the silver paint on bottom border, "STERLING / SILVER / DEPOSIT / 53 5".

The cap (b) is round, wider at top and curves down form a smaller opening to fit well. Cap is also decorated with similar painted silver design; engraved at top, a monogram of the initials, "JLH".

Paint has chipped away in some areas and on one edge of cap, crystal has cracked.
