DescriptionPressed green and colorless glass inkwell with engraved silver overlay. The inkwell consists of a coloress glass dome over a green glass well; the well has a slightly greater diameter than the dome. The well widens from rim to bottom, and has a semi-circular projecting area at one side. Both dome and well are decorated with engraved silver overlay. The overlay outlines the edges of the inkwell, but contains naturalistic vines, leaves, and flowers between the outlines. The top of the inkwell has a slight point, which is covered with silver overlay. The silver is tarnished, and there are several cracks in the green glass well. The silver overlay has also cracked in areas corresponding to cracks in the glass.
