InscribedOn verso, lower right, in pencil, accession numbers. Some photographs also have pencil notes on verso identifying the subjects.NotesDate Note: The Ousatonic Dam between Derby and Shelton washed out in 1891, when a cold snap followed by a thaw forced huge slabs of ice and flood water into the dam; it was rebuilt the same year. This is probably the date of the ice jam, flood, and dam repairs depicted in these photographs. (Finlay 7/21/2004)
