DescriptionDistant view of a city on a lake. Two women, one with a parasol and one with a basket on her head, walk on a terrace in the foreground. At the left, another woman stands in front of a man who is seated on a wall near a flight of steps. A suspension bridge is in the middle distance. The buildings of the city are at the right and in the right background. Large multi-story buildings line the waterfront. A large cathedral is in the background. Small sailboats and a small steamboat are on the lake. Hills are on the far side of the lake, beyond the city. Snow-capped mountains are in the distance, at the left.
