DescriptionView of a city on a lake with hills and mountains in the background. Two trees are in the right foreground. A building with dormers is in the left foreground. A group of men, women, and children are in a field on the hillside immediately below. The town, which is in the middle distance, includes numerous houses, churches, and other buildings, many of them with gables or towers. A building at the left has a pediment and columns or pilasters. Fortifications, consisting of a wall with round and square towers, extend over the hills in the left background.
