DescriptionWine glass made of blown colorless non-lead glass. The wine glass has an inverted bell shaped bowl over an opaque twist stem with a ring, or knop, in the center, and a round foot with a pontil mark on the bottom. The opaque twist in the stem consists of several solid strands of opaque white glass twisted tightly around inside the stem and ring. There are a handful of air bubbles inside the stem. The glass feels slightly damp, indicating that the glass is crizzling.

Pontil mark: A rough place on a blown glass object where the solid metal rod, or pontil, is cracked off the object after final shaping and decoration. Pontil marks can be polished to achieve a smooth surface.
