DescriptionWine glass made of blown colorless lead glass. The wine glass has an inverted conical hollow bowl above a thick, drawn, tapered stem, and a circular foot with a folded-down edge and a pontil mark on the bottom. An inverted, tear-shaped air bubble is located in the glass at the top of the stem. There is a ring of short, light scratches around the bottom edge of the foot.

Pontil mark: A rough place on a blown glass object where the solid metal rod, or pontil, is cracked off the object after final shaping and decoration. Pontil marks can be polished to achieve a smooth surface.
