DescriptionRummer made of blown colorless lead glass with a grey tint. The rummer has an ovoid bowl with a ring, or knop, at the top of a short stem. The stem widens to meet a round foot with a pontil mark on the bottom. There is a large 'U'-shaped area of loss to the bowl, at the rim and side. There are a few light scratches around the bottom edge of the foot of the rummer.

Pontil mark: A rough place on a blown glass object where the solid metal rod, or pontil, is cracked off the object after final shaping and decoration. Pontil marks can be polished to achieve a smooth surface.
