DescriptionBlown colorless lead glass rummer with a plain rim and cylindrical upper sides. The sides narrow to form a short stem and round foot with a shallow kick and a pontil mark on the bottom. A row of flutes decorates the rummer where the sides begin to taper, and extend all the way down the stem. There is a ring of light scratches and wear around the edges of the bottom of the foot.
Kick: An indentation in the bottom of a drinking glass, bottle, or other glass object.
Pontil mark: A rough place on a blown glass object where the solid metal rod, or pontil, is cracked off the object after final shaping and decoration. Pontil marks can be polished to achieve a smooth surface.
