DescriptionRound, domed redware lid with a clear lead glaze and manganese black decoration. The lid has a round finial in the center, surrounded by an incised line. About two inches outside of that is a double band of raised circles. A single band of raised circles is located at the rim. The top surface of the lid is glazed, while the interior is left unglazed. Four patches of manganese black have been applied to the top of the lid. There is one large chip in the top of the rim and one on the bottom. Crazing and several light scratches cover all the glazed surfaces of the lid.
