DescriptionHeavy, thick, redware pipe with a hollow, cylindrical center and tapered, exterior form. At the widest end of the pipe, the cylindrical, hollow area is widened to accommodate the narrow end of another length of pipe. The interior of the pipe is glaze with a brown slip glaze, or Albany-type glaze. The exterior of the pipe is not glazed, but is an uneven red, tan and black color with an uneven surface. There is one chip in the redware at the widest end of the pipe.

NotesHistorical Note: The donors stated that they dug up this piece of pipe on their property during some restoration work. The earth leading to a well contained about forty pieces of this pipe.
