DescriptionShort, redware watering can or jar with a brown lead glaze; the glaze covers the exterior of the watering can/jar, with the exception of a small portion of the foot, which is left unglazed. The watering can/jar has a flat foot and swelled sides with a domed top, shaped somewhat like a beehive. An oval loop handle, formed with an applied strap of redware, is located at the top center of the watering can/jar. To one side, a flared cylindrical spigot emerges from the side. On the opposite side, a round knob is attached to the watering can/jar. The knob has a hole it it that pierces the side of the watering can/jar.

There is light crazing over all the exterior glazed surfaces of the watering can/jar, and several light scratches around many parts of the watering can/jar. There are two chips in the handle and several chips in the rim of the spigot, revealing the redware below.
