DescriptionSmall, cylindrical redware preserve jar with a clear lead glaze on the interior and exterior, with the exception of the lower inch of the exterior of the jar, which is left unglazed. It is possible that the glaze is tinted brown. The jar has a flat base and cylindrical sides that narrow from the shoulder to neck, then flare again to form a rolled rim. There is crazing over the more thickly glazed portions of the preserve jar, especially on the lower half.
