DescriptionSmall, cylindrical mug of cream-colored earthenware with a clear glaze, a type of ceramic known as creamware. The mug is plain, with straight vertical sides and a flat bottom. A handle was pulled and applied to the mug. There is a hand-written label affixed to the side of the mug that reads, "Cup belonging to/ Grandmother Humphrey/ she died in 1819 aged 76".
