BiographyAnnis Pettibone was born 17 November 1745. She was the daughter of Martha Humphrey Pettibone and Jonathan Pettibone of Simsbury, Connecticut. Annis Pettibone married Captain Joseph Humphrey (1743/4-1809), who was a farmer. They settled in Simsbury and were members of the Congregational church there in 1777. They had seven children: Celia (1771-1862); Joseph (d. 1777, age 3); Mark (d. 1777, age 1); Joseph (b. 1778); Mark (1781-1864); Luke (1784-1847); and Annis (b. 1785). Annis Pettibone Humphrey died 14 March 1821.
