DescriptionOctagonal plate of buff-colored earthenware with a blue-tinted glaze, a type of ceramic known as pearlware. The rim of the plate is decorated with a translucent green glaze over impressed parallel lines that are about 3/8 inch long. There are three stilt marks on both the top and bottom surface of the plate. There is very fine crazing over all the surfaces of the plate, and a relatively short crack that runs from the rim toward the center of the plate. An unknown black substance has adhered in several spots to the top surface of the plate, near the center.
