DescriptionWhite, cotton shirtwaist with center back closure, 3/4 sleeves, high collar, whitework embroidery, crochet inserts, and tucks. Shirtwaist has crochet inserts on sleeves running both horizontally and vertically, as well as diamond shaped inserts containing 3-D flowers. The standing collar has three diamond shaped inserts. The cuffs and collar are edged with crochet lace. Front and back yoke contain whitework embroidery in a floral design, edged with several crochet diamond inserts. Radiating from the inserts are small vertical tucks. On back of shirtwaist, vertical tucks run down the length of the shirtwaist. Cuffs have buttons and loops in order to draw the cuff smaller once on the wearer. Center back closes with small buttons. Three hooks and eyes on back at waist, probably for hooking onto the skirt.
