DescriptionA large mass of Union soldiers charges towards the right and overrun earthworks housing two cannons. One man plants an American flag on top of the wall. Additional American flags are among the troops at the left. A man on horseback waves a sword. The smokestacks of two steamboats are visible in the background. Confederate soldiers retreat towards the left. Dead and wounded men lie on the ground.
