DescriptionA man wearing a sailor's uniform consisting of a short jacket, a shirt with a wide collar and a bib, a tie, a leather belt with a buckle, trousers, and shoes, stands on the deck of a ship. His shirt is decorated with stars and an anchor. He holds his hat in his right hand and an American flag with thirty-six stars in his left hand. He stands on a Confederate flag. Behind him a cannon protrudes through a gun port. A pulley system and a heavy rope attach it to the side of the ship. Cannon balls are in a rack immediately to the right.
