A 14 1/2-inch-deep flounce edged with a whitework-embroidered ruffle is stitched around and over the lower portion of the petticoat, creating a double layer. The ruffle of the flounce is headed by seven rows of narrow tucks. The center back opening extends 12 1/4 inches and fastens with a single mother of pearl button on the waistband.
