DescriptionWoman's wrapper of cotton printed with paisley and clover designs on a brown background. The wrapper has a high shawl collar, dropped shoulderline, and straight sleeves which are gathered into the piped armscye. The center front opening extends for the length of the wrapper and fastens with a single brown and white porcelain button at the neck and a drawstring (now missing) at the waist. The skirt of the wrapper is gathered all around the waistline, except at the center front. The wrapper is lined with cotton printed with a design of white ovals outlined in madder red on a brown background. The topstitching of the wrapper front edges and hem is done with a machine chainstitch. The fabric of this wrapper appears to have been reused from another garment, as the matching fabric lining each sleeve wrist is darker brown than the rest. Also, the fabric is pieced at both shoulders, extending down the bodice back.
