DescriptionA reddish-brown ribbon attached to a gold-framed "MEMBER" pin with golden-yellow fringe at the base. Sewn to the top of the ribbon, just below the pin, is a triangular piece of white ribbon from which hangs a gold plastic-surrounded image of the Virgin Mary and Baby Jesus. Sewn to the back of the red ribbon is black one from which the printing has faded but the words "IN MEMORORIAM" are still legible. The front side was displayed at regular meetings of the organization and the black side when someone died. From the collection of Gennaro Capobianco who documented the Italian community in Hartford.
