DescriptionGirl's decorative girdle consisting of a yoke and waistband of white marseilles ("marcella") fabric. The edges are scalloped and finished with a buttonhole stitch in red Berlin wool yarn. The interior of the girdle is decorated with red/white soutache braid laid out in C-scrolls on the waistband and in stylized medieval-looking patterns on the yoke.
