DescriptionInfant's dress of white cotton, with a wide, square neckline controlled by a drawstring and laced with a decorative cream-colored silk ribbon. The bodice front has a V-shaped panel of whitework embroidery edged with flat strips of scalloped self-fabric laced with silk ribbon. The short sleeves are embroidered with a similar floral design. The sleeve openings are edged with silk ribbon tied in bows. The waistband is a strip of whitework embroidery. The skirt is closely gathered into the waist. The bottom of the skirt is decorated with eighteen rows of tucking above the four-inch-deep hem. The center back opening of the dress extends 12 1/4 inches, and fastens with the neckline drawstring.
