DescriptionA young woman carrying a young child on her back walks towards the right. She wears a dress with full sleeves, a belt with a buckle, and shoes laced around her ankles. A rose is in her hair. Toys, including a ball and a pull toy featuring what appears to be a Punchinello figure on a horse, are on the parquet floor. A bed with a coverlet and heavy bed hangings is in the left background. A second room, which appears to have a tiled floor, is visible through an open door at the right. A chair and a casement window with fringed drapery are at the far right.
