DescriptionVery small infant's slip of white cotton. The round neckline and armholes are edged with bobbin lace. The skirt is gathered into the bottom of the bodice. The bottom of the skirt has four narrow tucks above a whipped flounce, edged with lace. The slip opens at center back for a length of 8 3/4 inches. It fastens with two mother of pearl buttons.

NotesHistorical Note: Mrs. R. L. Slocum won prizes at the 1912 and 1917 Connecticut Fairs in Hartford for the infant clothes she made. The Connecticut Historical Society owns twelve first and second place ribbons and prize tags that Mrs. Slocum donated at the same time that she gave the clothing.On View
