DescriptionSmall child's dress of white cotton with a woven figure. The neckline is wide and square; it is bound with self-fabric sewn on the straight grain. The short sleeves are edged with scalloping worked with buttonhole stitches. The bodice is closely gathered into the neckline and into the 1 1/4-inch-wide waistband. The skirt is gathered into the waistband; it has four one-inch tucks above the two-inch hem. The dress opens at the center back for about 10 1/2 inches (it has torn beyond this, though) and closes at the top with a drawstring under the neckline binding.
