DescriptionSmall boy's chemise of plain, white cotton. It is constructed of a rectangle, folded in half to create the shoulderline. A long, narrow, oval cut out of the center of the foldline creates the broad neckline. This edge is scalloped and embroidered with whitework circles and V's in sets of three within each scallop. A long, narrow notch cut in each side creates the short sleeves and flared body. The sleeve openings are finished the same as the neckline edge. A 3 1/4-inch-wide band of coarser cotton is added to the bottom to lengthen the chemise.
